The SL-1200MK7 is a DJ instrument through and through. The high starting torque brings the record up to speed immediately after a cue, and the pitch fader adjusts the tempo continuously with a range of 8 or 16 percent. The S-shaped tonearm tracks the groove reliably even during scratching and intensive use, and the LED stylus light illuminates the needle in dark DJ booths. New on the MK7 is the reverse function, letting you play records backwards for creative effects. The classic start stop button and the strobe pattern on the edge of the platter complete the familiar picture.
